I made these the other night and they were yummy, not to mention cute as can be! I would love to make them again using cherry filling.
I made a cinnamon vanilla cake and then topped it with apple pie filling. Last I used a caramel buttercream icing to make the appearance of crust. I used the cupcake batter as the underneath pie crust. After they were done baking I cut up apple pie filling and topped them. Next, I took the basket weave tip and used the flat side to do the icing crust on top. I sprinkled it with a little cinnamon and sugar.
What I Used:
Homemade cinnamon vanilla cake
1 can apple pie filling
Caramel buttercream icing
Brown icing color
Cinnamon Sugar Sprinkle
